LENZ Sports Group July Newsletter

Hi everyone,

Welcome to the very first edition of the LENZ Monthly Newsletter! We hope your summer is off to a great start. Here is a quick look at what we’ve been up to in June and a preview of what’s coming in July, but first we’d like to start off with industry thoughts from our founders.

For the past 5 years, as travel sports has structuralized, there was the adage that "travel ball is killing little league". In many cases, little league's participation numbers were decreasing due to a flock of athletes opting for travel baseball spring seasons.

What we have noticed in the past year is a resurgence of little league participation numbers as these "Break off teams": parents coaching a break off number of players from the league, participating in practices and tournaments "at cost".

Within our own customer base, we have seen a healthy balance in 2025 of traditional travel organizations, and little league break off teams participating in our events. We feel this adds more opportunity for athletes in the sport to have choices of teams to play on, encouraging more and longer participation.

We kicked off June strong, launching our softball event series and announcing our summer and fall tournaments:

Summer Slash (June 27th - June 29th)

September Slugfest (September 18th - September 21st)

Homerun Harvest (October 10th - October 12th)

We launched our softball tournaments with Matt, Mike, and Luke bravely taking the field. Their energy? Off the charts. Their batting average? Let’s just say they’re better at running businesses than bases.  Check it out on our Instagram!

Alongside the launch of our exciting softball event series, we’re thrilled to share that LENZ has officially acquired the licensing rights to Tri-County Premier.

As part of this new partnership, LENZ will take over the operating rights for the league’s end-of-season tournaments and serve as a go-to resource for all participating teams by providing apparel, support, or information on any league-related questions.

In June, we also finalized an exciting new partnership with two of the biggest names in baseball equipment, Marucci and Victus.

As part of the partnership, Marucci and Victus will receive naming rights for our 2025 Fahrenheit Frenzy and will have exclusive access to set up mobile stores at all LENZ events throughout the year.

This collaboration is amazing for our youth athletes as it allows them the opportunity to get hands-on with the latest and most premier bat technology and equipment.

In addition to growing our partnerships, we’ve been steadily expanding LENZ Merchandise. We’ve been collaborating with a variety of organizations to create custom apparel and develop tailored catalogs for those interested in providing their players with high-quality, team-branded uniforms.

During June, we have also expanded our LENZ family this month, and our interns began working for us. We are having five interns join us this summer and they have been a huge help already!

As we head into July, we’re gearing up for two major events:

Marucci Victus Fahrenheit Frenzy (July 18th - July 20th)

Diamonds of Delco Classic, Brought to You by Visit Delco (July 22nd - July 27th)

We can’t wait to continue this amazing success and energy into July and continue growing with this incredible community.

Thank you,

Mike Palumbo and Matt Wray, Co-Founders
