Hi everyone!

Welcome to the second edition of our LENZ Monthly Newsletter! We hope you had a fantastic July filled with fireworks, fun, and hopefully some downtime to relax after attending our amazing Marucci Victus Fahrenheit Frenzy and Diamonds of Delco Classic tournaments. We’d first like to start off with industry thoughts from our founders.

In the past few weeks we have been consulting groups that are looking into investing in indoor training facilities and outdoor sports complexes. The biggest issue both facilities and complexes need to solve is the 'Tuesday at 2pm' problem.

Yes, on weekends when an event is going on these complexes are crushing it, and at night when lessons are going on the facilities are packed. But the capacity of these spaces are only full maybe 10% of the time.

Mornings and weekdays tend to be completely empty because the clientele are in school or at work. If you are investing in either of these, the problem to solve is how do you find alternative services to offer to fill those dead times?

This past weekend, we concluded our exciting LENZ summer event series with Fahrenheit Frenzy and Diamonds of Delco Classic with our partners Marucci, Victus, and Visit Delco. Even with temperatures soaring above 90º F, the heat didn’t stop the action or the fun.

Teams brought high energy, the competition was fierce, and the celebrations were nonstop. The tournament was packed with excitement on the field and unforgettable moments. We couldn’t have asked for a better finale to our summer event series.

This month, we expanded our LENZ family and hired Gavin Grande, our new Director of Baseball Operations.

Gavin will be our on-site director at all of our events as well as lead the apparel side of the company, creating distinctive, fully custom designs to outfit teams with standout gear. We’re so happy to have him join us this month, and we’re excited to start this new chapter for LENZ Sports Group.

Despite the summer season coming to an end, we are so pumped for our fall tournament series to begin. This fall, we have a full slate of high-level, premier tournaments coming to the area for both baseball and softball. Our fall baseball event series includes:

Newtown Funk (September 6th - September 8th) 

Suburban Showdown (September 19th - September 21st)

Malice in the Mainline (October 10th - October 12th)

Our fall softball event series includes:

September Slugfest (September 18th to September 21st)

Homerun Harvest (October 10th to October 12th)

We can’t wait to continue this amazing success and energy into August, and we are so excited for these events to start up in the fall!
